Sao Paulo Biennale - images

Here are some photos I took from the Biennale in Sao Paulo. My interest was peaked from the collage works and themes of repetition.

I love this local Paulistano artist I discovered, Nino Cais. Great mix of collage, ink drawings, and framed photos and sculptural furniture.

Dedicated to documenting fashion trends in Amsterdam over a decade, and now in other cities worldwide. Awesome. loved the 90's. Thanks Hans Eijkelboom.

Poet Juan louis martinez - i believe. great Dada boxes with collage.

Loved this Icelandic Fluxus artist. great photos from Sigurdur Gudmundsson.

forgot the artist...sorry

This guy is crazy! Wins the prize for dedication to his work. Sam Heisch locked himself in a cell for a full year. And then the next year, took his photo every hour of every day for a year. and then performance #3, he lives outside under Brooklyn bridge, for a year. And then #4 ties himself to another artist for a full year, without being able to touch her. His timelapse of a himself for a full year running on 35 mm was very impressive. Here is his photo the day I was born.

David Mareno

Ilene Segalove, has a great name, and I loved her "mom tapes" videos interviewing and documentating her mom around their California house in the 70's.

German collage work from Franz Mon.

L.A photographer Mark Morrisoe's work.
